I have better discipline than I thought. It was empowering!
Overall a positive experience. Noteable weight loss on upper body mostly and mid section. Mood fluctuated. Felt teary, hungry and low on the first day fast. Better on 2nd. Mood improved during week. Feelings of empowerment towards end. Energy low during fast and day 5 (I think). Lull in mid arvo. Digestion stable. Usual bowel movements (did have coffee) Increase in gas, less bloating than usual. Skin appeared good during fast but then eczema rash flared up and remained irritable, itchy sore all week including today. Face skin clearer though. Less redness with rosacea possibly. Cravings strong during fast (particularly day 1) then weaned. Hunger lessened during week. Craved carbs (rice, mashed potato, crackers etc) sleep was terrible all week but may be psychosomatic (situational not the detox)
positives I wasn't expecting was to feel empowered in myself and my ability for delayed gratification, weight loss is nice. Feel less frumpy. Great to create new habits and intentions. I've learnt a lot about myself such as how much I love food prep and cooking and being creative with food. It was confronting to not focus on food so much.
I have better discipline than I thought. It was empowering.
